Jon (+/-) Kate

I don't understand why I am so involved with this family and their current devastation. And I am sure that I am not alone. (lifeless)

Last night I watched the season premier with high hopes that all the rumors will come in to light and Jon and Kate would explain that the rumors where just that....rumors. I was also totally expecting to hear that "Yeah, times are tough but we are going to work though it". Didn't hear that either. Does it occur to anyone that they just got re-married?!? What was that? a free trip and good show? No way, they are real. This all has to be a "ratings" thing.

I know that Kate has not always been the nicest person to Jon, but damn it they perfect for each other!
I just need another TLC fad to take my attention away from this atrocity.
..... Little people, Dugger's don't let me down!

Second Life

This table has been in my family for along time and mom wanted to sell it in the past garage sale. Lucky for me it did not sell! I'm sure my guarding it and not lowering the price didn't help much.

So Jeremey took it apart stripped it, sanded it, stained it and sealed it.

The finish product is so much better than what I envisioned it. Thank you honey it is beautiful!

Day Four... Savannah, GA

...

More Tybee Island... by way of boat

The first island we stoped at while kayaking.

Driftwood. There was a horsefly chasing me so we didn't stay long.

This one is for you Susan!

A lighthouse in the middle of the water. (actually it was high tide and the land was under water)

Kayaking!

The private beach (stop 2)

After several hours of touring the waters and shores of Tybee Island Jeremey and I went to the most crowded beach I have ever seen for a hot dog and Ice cream on the pier. Wish I had my camera to show you how many people were there.
We are both burnt and sore... See you tomorrow! Our last day

Day Three... Savannah, GA

Fort Pulaski.... Cockspur Island, GA

Little Jeremey and Big Fort

Cannon damage

At the drawbridge

View from the top of the fort.

This place was huge!!!!
(I must say that I did a great job with these pictures. Can't tell that there was a large group of loud middle school kids)

Cannon aimed at the Savannah River

A Georgia Beach Pier (Tybee Island)

River street night life. This whole strip (about 2 miles long) is shops, restaurants and bars. In Savannah you can walk the streets with alcoholic drinks! So we did just that.

Savannah's Smiles Dueling Pianos Saloon. This place was awesome! The girl in the black spaghetti string tank top was going to get married and is from West Virginia. I have never in my life seen any kind of dancing that her and her friends were doing. I wonder who she is marrying?

Day One and Two...... Savannah, GA

All the streets have these beautiful live oaks with hanging moss shading them.

Got caught walking in the rain on our way to the the Distillery.

One on the many squares in downtown.

"Real Life"

Mercer Williams house from "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". We took a tour of the inside but was not allowed to take pictures. The left ground floor window is the room where the murder took place....and we were in it. Inside was mostly oil paintings and artifacts.

Typical housing. Many share walls and side strips (back yards).

Just a beautiful home.

A normal street view. They are all this beautiful.

The Waving Girl. She sits on River street and greets all the incoming and outgoing ships.

One of the many fountains in one of the 21 squares.

The "most haunted home in the US". Jeremey's favorite home we have seen yet.

Relaxing in the square with the sound of people buzzing by on their lunch break and street musicians.

Old Fort Jackson, 1808
(in the rain again)

Inside the fort walls. There were alot of "cubby holes" with stuff in them. I actually thought that this fort is better than St. Augustine because you can wonder all over this place...No closed doors.

The Barrel room. This is Coopers room (love you kiddo) Look real closely and you can see that the barrels were made by woodhouse.

Cannons on a fort....who would have guessed?
